For this treatment, Dr. Rotter will apply a chemical solution that removes the outer, damaged layers of skin. Different strengths of peels exist, and Dr. Rotter will choose a formula that best meets your needs.

For instance, trichloroacetic acid peels (TCA) are light to intermediate- depth peels that can be adjusted easily to get the maximum benefit and offer minimal recovery time.

Peels may be repeated several times per year and are always combined with maintenance creams. Dr. Rotter will recommend the best creams for you.

Chemical peels do not require anesthesia; discomfort can be intense, but only lasts three to four minutes. For TCA peels, which take just minutes to perform, you may resume normal activities right away-and begin enjoying softer skin.
